It’s our GOLDEN BIRTHDAY!!!!!
The 10th Annual Purple Polka Dot Race will take place on August 10, 2025 at Stony Creek Metropark – Eastwood Beach in Shelby Twp, MI. The proceeds of this event go to support the Vascular Anomalies Alliance (VAA) helping families in Michigan and all over the world find community support for those who have vascular birthmarks.
Runners and walkers will have the opportunity to sign up for either a 5K Run/Walk, a Quarter Marathon Run or a Family Fun Run!

Packet Pick-Up In Person 5K/Quarter Marathon: Starting at 7:15 am
Athlete Timeline – TENTATIVE
7:55 AM QUARTER MARATHON START, hand cycle athletes will start first
8:05 AM 5K RUN/WALK START, hand cycle athletes will start first
9:30 AM QM and 5K AWARDS
10:00 AM Family Fun Run Heat 1 start
10:20 AM Family Fun Run Heat 2 Start
10:40 AM Family Fun Run Heat 3 Start
10:30 AM RAFFLE
Athletes from all distances are invited to team up with friends and family for the SOCIAL TEAM DIVISION. Teams can have unlimited runners/walkers and be mixed gender. The team with the MOST MEMBERS will have an extra $500 donated to the VAA in their team name. Runners in the team division are eligible for individual awards. Team name must be spelled the same way during the checkout process.
All athletes in the 5K/Quarter Marathon distances will receive a tech shirt and a swag bag with lots of fun and useful goodies! Extra shirts will be available for purchase during the registration process.
Shirts and swag bags MAY be provided to those who register after June 30th, but will not be guaranteed.
