Race
The race will take place Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Eastwood Beach at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township, Michigan. There is a $10 fee per car to enter Stony Creek if you do not already have an Oakland County Parks vehicle permit.
Timeline for August 14, 2022
Packet Pick-Up In Person 5K/Quarter Marathon: Starting at 7:15 am
5K/Quarter Marathon Open Start: Starting from 8 am – 8:10 am*
*athletes can come to the start line between 8 am and 8:10 am to start their event.
Packet Pick-Up In Person 5K/Quarter Marathon Handcycle: 8:15 am
5K/Quarter Marathon Handcycle Start: 8:30 am
Packet Pick-Up Family Fun Run: Starting at 9:30 am
Family Fun Run Start:
-Heat 1: 10:00 am start
-Heat 2: 10:30 am start
All athletes in the 5K/Quarter Marathon distances will receive a tech shirt and a swag bag with lots of fun and useful goodies! Extra shirts will be available for purchase during the registration process.
Athletes from all distances are invited to team up with friends and family for the TEAM DIVISION. Teams can have unlimited runners/walkers and be mixed gender. The team with the MOST MEMBERS will have an extra $500 donated to the VBF in their team name. Runners in the team division are eligible for individual awards. Team name must be spelled the same way during the checkout process.
Event shirts and swag bags are only guaranteed to be available prior to race day to those registered by June 30th. Shirts and swag bags will be provided as soon as possible to those who register after June 30th, but will arrive after the race date.
